Rev. Dr. Remona L. Farley Remembered With Community Memorial Fund Created On June 8, 2026
Rev. Dr. Remona L. Farley, lovingly known as Dr. Mona, passed away after a life marked by faith, service, and devotion to family and community.
Shanta Simmons-Farley organized a memorial fundraiser on June 8, 2026, to help cover funeral services and housing needs for Dr. Mona’s children, Miracle and David.
The fundraiser had raised $1,440 toward a $13,000 goal through 14 donations.
Dr. Mona served as a faithful member of Concord Baptist Church and belonged to the Christian sorority Chi Rho Alpha Inc.
For much of life, Dr. Mona faced Lupus and multiple sclerosis, yet continued to pray for others, visit the sick and homebound, teach, preach, and encourage those nearby.
Dr. Mona spent more than a month in the hospital before passing, while Miracle and David remained close by.
Family members will announce obituary and memorial service details at a later time.
